Call Latin America with Global Choice at no additional cost FAQs

Global Choice is an international calling plan that lets you choose a country and get a bundle of minutes to that country for $10/line per month. You also get discounted rates on calls made after your monthly bundle is used. There are 93 countries to choose from, and you can add additional countries for $10/each country per month.

New Verizon mobile customers If you purchase a qualifying Unlimited plan on a new voice line and add Global Choice within 30 days, you can get up to 5 hours/month of calls to one of the eligible Latin American countries listed below.

Existing Verizon mobile customers: If you add a new voice line to your account, select a qualifying Unlimited plan and add a Global Choice international calling plan to that line within 30 days after activation, you can get up to 5 hours/month of calls to one of the eligible Latin American countries listed below.

For both new and existing customers:

• Each new line on your account with an eligible Unlimited plan and a Global Choice international calling plan can qualify for Global Choice at no additional cost.
• You will receive a $10 credit on your bill each month that you qualify for the Global Choice feature. Your credit may take 1-2 billing cycles to be applied.

Note: International calling is available from the US to mobile or landline to only select countries starting at 30 minutes/month of usage; then up to $0.65 per minute after the monthly time allotment is depleted, depending on the country selected for the promotion.

You are eligible for the Global Choice feature if you:

• Sign up for a new Verizon mobile account or add a new line to an existing account.
• Add an eligible Unlimited plan to a new line: One Unlimited for iPhone*, Welcome Unlimited*, 5G Start, 5G Play More, 5G Do More or 5G Get More
• Within 30 days of activating your eligible Unlimited plan, add the Global Choice international calling plan with an eligible Latin American country.

Note: Each qualifying new line on your new account, with an eligible Unlimited plan and a Global Choice international calling plan, is eligible for the Global Choice feature at no additional cost.

Unlimited plans for connected devices (e.g., smart watches) do not qualify for the inclusion of Global Choice at no additional cost.

*When you have this plan, all phone lines on the account must also have this plan.

You can follow the instructions below to enroll within 30 days after activating your eligible line, if you meet the eligibility requirements:

1. Open the My Verizon app.
2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Account. You will be asked to sign in.
3. Select Manage Plans and Services.
4. Select the phone number you want to enroll.
5. Scroll down to the International Plans section.
6. Select Explore All International Plans.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Add New Plan.
8. Tap Calling Plan.
9. Type in your eligible country.
10. Select an eligible line.
11. Tap Change This Plan.
12. Select $10 Global Choice.
    
13. Follow the instructions to complete your enrollment.

Note: You must be the Account Owner or an Account Manager to redeem the Global Choice feature.

You can follow the instructions below to enroll within 30 days after activating your eligible line, if you meet the eligibility requirements:

1. Open your online My Verizon account.
2. Select Manage Plans and Services.
3. Select Explore All International Plans at the bottom of the page.
4. Select Add International Calling Plan.
5. Select Manage your plan.
6. Enter your eligible country.
7. Where your eligible line is, select Change This Plan.
8. Select $10 Global Choice.
9. Follow the instructions to complete your enrollment.

Note: You must be the Account Owner or an Account Manager to redeem the Global Choice feature.

Sign in to your My Verizon mobile account and view the My Plan page to check enrollment.

You will also see a Global Choice discount credit of $10 on your bill, following your enrollment in the Global Choice feature. Your credit may take 1-2 billing cycles to be applied.

Yes. As long as you stay on one of the eligible Unlimited plans, you can make a change between those plans and keep Global Choice at no additional cost.

If you no longer have an eligible Unlimited plan, you are no longer eligible for the Global Choice feature. You will be charged $10/per line per month for that Global Choice country bundle of minutes.

You can cancel your Global Choice plan at any time in My Verizon on the My Plan page.

You can change the country that you selected to any of the other eligible 17 Latin American countries within the first 30 days after activating an eligible Unlimited plan on your new account.

Once you are enrolled in the Global Choice feature, you will continue with the discount on that line as long as you have an eligible Unlimited plan with Global Choice.

You will no longer be eligible to continue on the Global Choice feature on a line if you:

• Cancel your Global Choice international calling plan, OR
• Cancel your eligible Unlimited plan, OR
• Change from a post-paid to a prepaid account, OR
• Drop all of the eligible Latin American countries from your Global Choice calling plan.
